Give Parents a Break and Super Saturday

The Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) recognizes that today’s Air Force families face unique stress due to the nature of military life from deployments, remote tours, to extended working hours. Families are often separated from spouses as well as their extended family members who might otherwise offer support.

The purpose of Give Parents a Break (GPAB) is to offer families a few hours away from the stress of parenting and use the time to suit their personal needs. Note: GPAB program is not to be used to simply provide “free child care” but rather as a program to help commanders, first sergeants, and other base officials help families who need temporary relief from the challenges of parenting.

GPAB is scheduled with available FCC providers whenever the family needs care and their is FCC availability.
