Distance from base: 530 km
Visit Germany’s highest waterfalls. The steady light noise of the waterfalls is part of Triberg. Foaming and roaring the water plunges 163 metres down the river called “Gutach”.
After this breathtaking view of the waterfalls, you have free time to get lunch and explore Triberg.
With your waterfall ticket you have also access to Triberg-Land (an interactive model construction facility), the Black Forest Museum and Triberg Fantasy (An instagram museum where you can take pictures of yourself on top of a black forest cake and playing the cuckoo in the cuckoo clock).
At 2pm you get to see the inspiring Black Forest costume parade. Many hundreds of people wear traditional costumes. The Black Forest presents this ancient tradition impressively. A unique experience for you not to be missed! Experience the Triberg Ham Festival: Local specialties, music and lots of fun!
Visit one of the many shops which sell Cuckoo Clocks and other great souvenirs.
For those who are looking for a taste of the Black Forest I can highly recommend to try some of the Triberger Fichtenschinken, Triberg’s version of the famous Black Forest ham. As for a sweet dessert, you may want to have a piece of the delicious Black Forest Cake.
