Columbus Air Force Base Fitness Center has made some major improvements over the last month. Every piece of equipment from the treadmills, free weights, cardio machines, and benches have been replaced with top-of-the-line, brand-new fitness equipment. This has been a project long in the making to increase morale and safety, as well as modernize outdated machines.
The Fitness Center’s main mission is to provide its base community with all the means necessary to live a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle. A healthy mind and healthy body are crucial in training world-class pilots and the Fitness Center makes it its major focus.
The Fitness Center has amenities and programs for all levels, ages, and abilities. They offer group classes such as yoga that are open to anyone with Fitness Center access. They have a brand new schedule for yoga with evening classes Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 5-6 pm as well as Seasonal Intramural Sports. Intramural Flag Football starts July 24 and is a great team-building activity or opportunity to exercise in a fun, competitive setting.
They also offer Personal Training support and nutrition guidance on macros, micros, water intake, and more. The Fitness Center urges all its patrons to simply ask. If you have questions on equipment, your own personal goals, or diet, there are skilled professionals at your disposal ready to provide you with the answers you’re looking for.
The Columbus AFB Alpha Warrior tent offers a unique CrossFit training experience for those who are into the ultimate fitness challenge.
