Are you a parent or guardian looking to provide your child with an unforgettable summer experience? Air Force Services Youth Programs Residential Summer Camps is accepting applications. From exploring careers in space and science to building leadership skills in the Rocky Mountains, these camps offer unique opportunities for youth to grow, learn, and thrive. Applications for the programs are accepted through May 3!
1. US Space & Rocket Center Camp: This camp, located at the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL, is perfect for youth and teens aged 12-18 who are interested in exploring careers in space and science. From Aviation Mach to Cyber and Space Academy, participants will have the chance to engage in hands-on activities, interact with experts in the field, and immerse themselves in the world of aerospace technology. Scholarships are available for several sessions such as Aviation Mach, Cyber and Space Academy, ensuring that all aspiring space explorers have the opportunity to attend.
2. Teen Leadership Camp at Cheley Colorado Camp: Designed for teens aged 14-18 who have completed their Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior year of high school, this camp focuses on building character, leadership, and resilience. Nestled in the surroundings of Rocky Mountain National Park, participants will challenge themselves through outdoor adventures, team-building activities, and leadership workshops. By the end of the camp, attendees will have forged lasting friendships and developed the skills needed to become confident leaders in their communities.
3. Teen Aviation Camp at USAF Academy: For teens aged 14-16 who have completed their Freshman or Sophomore year of high school, this camp offers a unique opportunity to gain the US Air Force Academy experience. Participants will delve into the world of aviation, engineering, science, and leadership through hands-on activities, immersive experiences, and interactions with Academy personnel. By the end of the week-long camp, attendees will have gained valuable insights into potential career paths and developed essential leadership skills.
How to Apply: To apply for any of these exciting camps, parents or guardians must submit a completed application by May 3, 2024. Applications should be sent through the DAF Camps workflow box at AFSVC.SVPY.Camps@us.af.mil. Selected participants will be announced no later than May 13, 2024, offering ample time to prepare for an unforgettable summer adventure.
