Dance Classes at the Youth Center have been a huge hit led by the amazing Bethany Raley! Bethany grew up dancing and tumbling at her mother’s dance studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After high school, she studied dance at Brigham Young University-Idaho and completed her Associate’s Degree. Bethany graduated from the University of Oklahoma (OU) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. At OU she trained in modern, contemporary, and ballet dance and performed with Contemporary Dance Oklahoma. During her time in college, she performed and studied at dance festivals and intensives in Beijing, China, Utah, and Colorado.
Since 2010 Bethany taught at various locations within the Tulsa & Oklahoma City metros. In Oklahoma City, she piloted Western Heights Public School’s dance program for their middle and high school. Working with local businesses and park departments, she developed dance and tumbling programs for the children within those communities. Bethany has choreographed for OU’s Young Choreographer’s Showcase and Tulsa Community College’s Musicals Big Fish and Mamma Mia!
Bethany is a military spouse and moved to Columbus Air Force Base in July 2022. That fall, she began teaching “Mommy & Me” to the CAFB community. She has loved working with the CAFB families during her weekly Wednesday classes! There are classes for all ages – infants to age 7+.
Save the date for the Dance with Bethany Winter Recital where youth will showcase what they have learned in dance and tumbling on the big stage at Kaye Auditorium on December 15 at 1800!
