What is there to do here?
There is plenty to do at Edwards Air Force Base. The 412th Force Support Squadron offers events, activities, and programs year-round. MWR at Edwards Air Force Base offers dining, entertainment, youth programs, recreation, fitness, and support services for Airmen, families, and DoD Civilians that support the installation’s mission.
How can I find out about upcoming events?

What are my childcare options?
Edwards Air Force Base houses a Child Development Center, School Aged Annex, Teen Center & Main Youth Center. We also offer FCC (Family Child Care) providers. Visit Family to explore all Youth Programs.

I want to sign my kids up for sports. Do you have any?
We sure do! Edwards AFB Youth Sports provides a wide range of year-round sports activities for children as young as three years old and up. Some of the sports that are popular on our base are soccer, football, basketball, baseball, and more! The Youth Sports Program also offers developmental programs for young children to get them started in sports without a competitive environment. For children interested in competing, we offer competitive tournaments for all ages.
We are always in need of volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering as a coach, please contact Youth Sports at 275-KIDS.
Smog Check?
In California, you may be required to have your smog checked in order to renew your vehicle registration. Our Auto Hobby provides SMOG checks for $50. Call 275-AUTO and schedule an appointment.

What is there to do around here on the weekends?
Auto Hobby is open on Saturday from 10am-4pm in case you enjoy DIY car maintenance. Arts & Crafts offers Ceramic Saturdays once per month, providing the opportunity to create a custom keepsake for a great price. Visit the Edwards AFB Library on Saturdays from 11am-4pm. The Library offers quiet reading and study spaces, computer access for research, and adult and children’s programming throughout the year. On the weekends, you can run or stroll through any of the trails available at Edwards Air Force Base, visit our skate park or check out Branch Memorial park where you can play, fish, enjoy a lunch or hike. There is a fantastic view of the Joshua Trees, sunrise, and sunset.

Am I allowed to dine at Club Muroc?
Edwards Club Muroc is open to all with base access. Club Muroc is the installation’s premier dining and entertainment venue. Guests enjoy restaurant-style dining, meeting rooms, and an officer and enlisted lounge, and meeting rooms. Club Muroc is a top choice for special events, awards, and ceremonies. There is an outdoor patio dining area with grills as well as poolside seating. The Club is open throughout the week for lunch, dinner, and special events.

I am having a problem and need help. Where do I start?
CHAIN OF COMMAND If you have a problem, need to report any significant information or to get help, the proper chain of command is as follows: a. Immediate supervisor (or designee) b. Second-level supervisor (if appropriate) c. Flight Chief d. FSS/CC or FSS/CD e. Support Group Commander The same chain of command is used in the grievance process.
FIRST SERGEANT A first sergeant is not in the chain of command but is there to take care of people. A first sergeant is there to provide a dedicated focal point for all readiness, health, morale, welfare, and quality-of-life issues within his or her organization. 661.277.3465
