Family Campgrounds
Camping doesn’t have to be rough! Eglin’s Family Campgrounds (FAMCAMP) offer great outdoor accommodations in two locations, Camp Robbins and Postl Point.
The park at Camp Robbins is located on Shambo Cove Road off Memorial Trail. The campground offers 60 sites with water, sewer, and electric (50 amp, 30 amp, 110v). A total of 45 sites are pull-through and 15 are back-in. RV sites are gravel with a concrete square adjacent to each site, plus a picnic table. The park has a bath house and a laundry room with 4 washers and 4 dryers, which are coin-operated; a change machine is located inside the laundry room. An asphalt road leads in and out of the park with a gravel drive at each site. Camp Robbins also has 14 tent sites with water hook-up only. The Camp Host is located at Site #1 to further assist guests.
The park at Postl Point is located adjacent to the Outdoor Recreation Center off Flagler Road. The camp has 22 sites with water and electricity (50 amp, 30 amp, 110v). Most of the sites are pull-through (two are back-in only) with grass parking. An asphalt road leads in and out of the park. The park has a bath house and a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers, which are coin-operated; a change machine is located inside the laundry room. The Camp Host is located at Site #120 to further assist guests.
Eglin FAMCAMP operates on a reservation-only basis for both long-term and short-term sites. Active duty military members can make reservations 120 days in advance . All other DoD ID cardholders can make reservations 90 days in advance. Long-term sites require a $100 non-refundable deposit for a maximum stay of 120 days. Short-term reservations — less than 30 days — require full payment at the time of booking. Cancellation of a short-term reservation will result in forfeiture of a $80 non-refundable deposit. Each camp site is limited to one (1) RV and two (2) vehicles.
RV spaces rent for $40 per day, $250 per week (7 days), and $800 per month (30 days). Tent sites are $12 per night; tents can stay up for 30 nights at a time. Spaces are available to all personnel authorized to use Outdoor Recreation facilities — active duty, retired military, and DoD civilians. Non-DoD guests who are sponsored on base can stay in the campground if the military member sponsoring them is also a guest staying at their site. The maximum length of stay for sponsored guests is restricted to 14 days, and all sponsored guests must be reported to the FAMCAMP staff.
Upon reaching the 120 day mark for long-term sites, guests are required to vacate the campground for a minimum of 30 days before seeking another stay with us. At that time, a guest can stay an additional 60 days due to a limit of 180 days per 365 days. Upon reaching the 30 day mark for short-term rentals, while staying at Postl Point, guests are required to vacate the campground for 30 days before seeking another stay at Postl Point.
Check-out time is 12 p.m. on the day of departure. Late checkouts will incur a one day charge per day. Guests requiring a late check-out must submit a request no later than 12 p.m. on the day prior to their departure date.
