As a long-standing tradition of Eglin AFB, the Gate To Gate Memorial Run/Walk is an opportunity to remember our heroes who have served in the military and to honor America’s lost heroes, all service members, who died defending our country’s safety and freedom. We invite all to pay tribute to their sacrifice and show our support for the men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our country. Team Eglin is proud to present this Northwest Florida community event with options to run or walk in honor of a lost loved one in your own life or to honor a service member.

Gate To Gate is a 4.4-mile competitive race on Eglin Air Force Base. Active Duty, DoD Civilians, Retirees, and the public can register for this historic event. All participants and registered guests are invited to enjoy the after-party at Unity Park. Runners and Walkers will be provided free food and beverage (“Runners Rations”) as they finish the race. Food trucks will be on site for guests and spectators to purchase food and beverages. We invite all runners and walkers to sign our “The Reason I Run” mural either before or after they finish the race. There will be live entertainment for all to enjoy. The official award ceremony will only include the presentation of the overall top finishers in the females and males categories. Trophies will be awarded to first place runners and walkers in each age category.

Only online regsitrations are accepted. Runners and walkers can register at ChronoTrack.com. Gate To Gate registration closes May 18. No late or same day registrations permitted.

Registration dates and costs are as follows:

  • March 1 – April 30 • $40 per Person (T-shirt size guaranteed)
  • May 1 – 18 • $40 per Person (T-shirt size is not guaranteed)

Here’s an opportunity to influence your personal network of family and friends. After the registration is completed, participants will be able to invite family members and friends to join the Gate To Gate Memorial Run/Walk and earn money back. For every three confirmed registrations from the personalized referral link, a participant will receive a $5 refund. The maximum refund is $25 per person.

Packet Pick-up Information

Registered participants may pick up their race packets at the Air Force Armament Museum on May 24 only between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Race packets may also be picked up at the Eglin AFB Main Fitness Center May 20-23 between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM. It is highly recommended participants pickup all race packets prior to race day. A photo ID is required to pick up race packets. Non-DoD ID cardholders will be placed on an Entry Authorization Letter at the time of registration to allow base access on race day.

Third-Party Pick-Up and Event Day non-DoD Family/Guests

If you may need a third-party to pick up your packet, then this person will need to be included in your registration to be included in the security check. We also welcome runners’ and walkers’ family members and guests who would like to attend as part of your cheer squad. We need all non-DoD family members or guests names included during the registration process to be included during the registration process to be included in the security check.

Race Day Information

On race day, all non-DoD participants must enter through the Eglin West Gate located on Hwy 189. All participants are asked to be in place at the start line by 6:30 AM, at the corner of Chinquapin Drive and Eglin Blvd.
