Bear Lake FamCamp

The summer office offers small equipment, trailers, and watercraft rentals for use on the lake or to take with you. ​Over 40 camper sites are nestled near a coin-operated laundry room. Each site offers water and electrical hook-up as well as a centrally located dump station. Several tent sites are also available.

Checking In & Out

We hope you enjoy your stay and ask that you help us ensure enjoyment and safety of all guests by following the guidelines listed below.

  • Guests are expected to obey all rules and regulations governing camp areas, observe ​the highest standards of behavior and respect the rights of other customers at the site.
  • Check in time is 2pm and check out time is 11am (Site must be clean prior to leaving).
  • Quiet hours are from 10pm-6am. Light and noise producing items must be turned down during this
    time frame.
  • FamCamp is available on a first-come, first-served system and rental fees will be paid upon
    registration.
  • 10 MPH speed limit throughout the campground.

Site Rules

  • No sharing of utilities allowed.
  • No RV or vehicle repairs/washing are authorized in the FamCamp area with exceptions for safety/emergency repairs which must be coordinated with Outdoor Recreation staff.
  • Only 1 RV and tow vehicle per site. (Park only in your designated spot; no parking on the grass).
  • No short or long term facilities/add-ons (wood frames , shelter tents, sheds etc.) may be constructed at the site.
  • Keep laundry room/bathrooms clean.
  • Place trash in appropriate containers.
  • Pets must be on a leash at all times while outside and have access to food/water. Additionally, you are responsible for cleaning up after them at the site, as well as when you are walking them.
  • Customers must be 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages in the campground.
  • Waste/sewage will only be dumped at the designated dumping stations.
  • Cutting/chopping of trees or brushes is strictly prohibited.

Boater Safety Cards

Customers who intend to use our watercraft on any lake MUST obtain a boater safety card by visiting the online Alaska Boater Safety Course and print a certificate prior to boat pick up. This license cannot be older than 5 years from the date of boat reservation.
