Critical Passport Requirements for Military Personnel
Application Perfection is Paramount
Members must have all application documents completed and ready for submission. Any incomplete or missing documents, members will be turned away.
Passport Photos: The Pinnacle of Preparedness
When it comes to passport photos, preparedness is the name of the game. Members must arrive with passport photos in hand for every individual requiring an Official Government No-Fee Passport and visa. These photos are only valid for six months from the application date, and a recapture will be necessary thereafter. While the Public Affairs Office can assist with photos, it’s important to note that they may require an appointment, so plan ahead.
Document Authentication: Guarding the Essentials
The authenticity of your documents is non-negotiable. Members must submit their original proof of citizenship (e.g., birth certificate, current civilian passport) alongside their application. Rest assured, your original documents will be returned along with your government passport—copies won’t suffice. Additionally, ensure that your CAC and non-expired driver’s license are readily available at the time of your appointment.
Orders and MILO: Essential Travel Companions
Your journey toward obtaining a passport is incomplete without the presence of orders or MILO (Military Identification and Licensing Office) documentation. Members must have these critical documents in hand at the time of their appointment to proceed seamlessly.
Certified Birth Certificates: The Genuine Article
A true, certified copy of your birth certificate is indispensable. Beware that versions with gold stamps and foot imprints are typically not the right copies. If you have any questions, our passport agents can provide guidance during mass passport issuance.
Uniform Regulations: Passport Photo Alert
Effective from April 1st, 2020, adhere to strict uniform regulations when submitting passport photos. DoD applicants are prohibited from featuring any form of uniform items in their photos. Remember, compliance is key.
No Room for Errors: Precision in Documentation
Errors are not to be taken lightly. In the event of inaccuracies, pen and ink corrections are not permissible. Members will be required to re-accomplish documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
For further information and to navigate the passport acquisition process smoothly, feel free to reach out to our dedicated team. Your passport journey is our mission. Contact us for any inquiries or assistance you may need.
