We challenge you to walk, run or bike a total elevation gain of a cumulative of 5,886 feet.

Local Trail Suggestions. These are just suggestions. Gain your elevation any way you choose.

  • Mt. Spokane State Park – Mount Kit Carson Trail – 7.5 miles roundtrip, 1500’ elevation gain, 5282’ highest point.
  • Mt. Spokane State Park – Upper Trail 140 – 6.2 miles, one-way, 2790’ elevation gain, 5867’ highest point.
  • Liberty Lake Trail – 8.4 miles round trip, 1500’ elevation gain, 3280’ highest point
  • Dishman Hills Conservation Area – Iller Creek – 5 miles, 1200’ elevation gain, 3200’ highest point.
  • John C Shields Park (Minihaha) – 27 miles, 450’ elevation gain, 2380’ highest point
  • Columbia National Wildlife Refuge – Rimrock Lake – 3 miles, elevation gain 200’ feet, 1060’ highest point
  • South Hill Bluff – 23 miles, 350’ elevation gain, 2340’ highest point

Men’s One Thousand Pound Powerhouse and Women’s Five Hundred Pound

We challenge you to achieve a cumulative of 1000 pounds for the guys, and 500 pounds for the gals doing all bench, squat and deadlift.

Workouts

This is a self-directed process. We do not care how you exercise. You can choose from the workouts you find on this page or create your own. It’s your choice!

  • We have ideas on this page to help you create your own workout!

Step 2

We want you to succeed. To commit to be fit all you need to do is complete three workouts a week. If you choose to walk, run, bike, lift or swim you can count your workout toward any of our challenges. *Pick up a Workout Progress Punch Card from the Front Desk and return it prior to the deadline each month (below). *Send Workout Progress Email to the Fitness Center prior to the deadline each month (below) telling us that you have completed three workouts a week for the month, and which challenge you are working toward. Don’t forget to indicate if you participated in any of the run/walks which earns you a pin. (For now please submit your tracking to Fitness)

Your Workout Progress Punch Card or Workout Progress Email paperwork is due to the Fitness Center at the end of each month on the following schedule:

To keep you motivated on your commit to be fit journey, we offer rewards and prizes each month. For every completed Workout Progress Punch Card or Workout Progress Email you submit, the Fitness Center Staff will track and reach out with what you’ve won that month. There are lots of ways to win!

  • Earn a Monthly Button when you submit a completed Workout Progress Punch Card or Workout Progress Email.
  • All Monthly Button Winners are entered to win a monthly drawing for Prizes.
  • Earn a Pin with your completion of any Fitness Center Run/Walk
  • Earn a Challenge Coin for completing any of the challenges.
