Honor Guard

Our Honor Guard members are congressionally mandated to provide military funeral honors to Air Force Active Duty, Retirees, Reserves and other eligible veterans. In addition, they provide ceremonial color guard and cordons on-base and in the local community to include Change of Command, retirement ceremonies and parades.

These fine young men and women, mostly comprised of the Airmen tier, are charged with performing honors in a 36,000 square mile area of responsibility. This past year alone, they traveled over 120,000 miles and performed OVER 700 details, which included Military Funeral Honors and colors & civic events.

Our guardsmen are active seven days per week. They are obligated, dedicated and committed to serve…rain or shine, high or low temperatures. They are the epitome of the United States Air Force. We must not forget the family members who are steadfast supporters, nor the supervisors who are committed to carry on the unit’s mission while allowing their best airmen to serve; giving the “Final Salute” to those who have gone on before us.
