There are several ID Card Issuance Offices located across the Hampton Roads Region.  Use the following link to search for locations nearest you.

Dependents coming into DEERS to receive an ID Card must have the sponsor with them or the sponsor may pre sign the DD1172-2 and have it notarized or digitally signed. The dependents must bring the DD1172-2 with them unless the form has been saved in the DEERS system when digitally signed.

  1. Everyone 18 years and older are required to have 2 forms of unexpired ID, bearing the same name. (Expired Driver License cannot be used). Secondary ID can be a state ID, passport, social security card.
  2. Age 10-17 should have their social security card with them.
