Child Development Center

The mission of Air Force Child and Youth Programs (CYP) is to assist DoD military and civilian personnel in balancing the competing demands of the accomplishment of the DoD mission and family life through delivery of a system of quality, available and affordable programs and services for eligible children and youth birth through 18 years of age.

Programs & Services

Full-Time Child Care

Parents are required to complete an enrollment package, and present proof of the child’s immunizations.

Drop-in Child Care

Slots are for all ages. Please call to check for age group availability. Reservations can be made up to 7 days. Parents are required to complete an enrollment package and present proof of the child’s immunizations.

Give Parents a Break

Give Parents a Break is an Air Force Aid program that offers free childcare for ages 6 weeks to 12 years at the Youth and Child Development Centers for Air Force families referred by base helping agencies such as the Military & Family Readiness Center and Family Advocacy, as well as Chaplains, Commanders, and First Sergeants. Also eligible are family members of deployed AF military members. Space is limited.

Parent's Day/Night Out

A day or evening of child care for ages 6 weeks to 5 years. No refunds for no-shows.

Parent Advisory Board

All parents whose children are enrolled in CYP are a part of the PAB. The committee acts in an advisory capacity, providing recommendations for improving services. The committee is also responsible for developing the parent involvement plan for Child Development Center, School Age Care, and Family Child Care.

  • Those acting in loco parentis for the dependent child of an otherwise eligible patron.
  • Eligible employees of DoD contractors.
  • Others authorized on a space available basis (retirees, AD personnel not assigned to the specific installation, and military with an unemployed spouse).
