NAF Tuition Assistance Program

  • Tuition Assistance (TA) will be available year round starting 1 Oct 2019 and will NO longer be a part of the NAF Civilian Development Plan calls.
  • To be eligible, NAF employees need 1 year of service, a “satisfactory” performance appraisal, and be a current and active employee (no LWOP).
  • There are NO grade or employment category restrictions.
  • In addition, we have set up the ability to pay college and universities directly for our portion of the tuition assistance to lessen the out of pocket expense for employees.
  • Employees do NOT have to obtain a degree for the current job they are working in.

Human Resources Offices

There are two Human Resources Offices at Keesler AFB that can help aid you in finding your next career! The Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Human Resource Office offers a large variety of opportunities from fitness, food service, childcare, recreation, and administrative support.

The Civilian Personnel Office at Keesler Air Force Base is responsible for the oversight and direction of the personnel program for appropriated fund civilian employees. This includes the direction and administration of the labor-management relations and employee-management relations programs, affirmative employment programs, position management and classification, employee development and training, and injury and unemployment compensation.

Spouse Employment

Employment for spouses is a priority as many positions are targeted to the highly qualified military/civilian spouse. The Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) can assist in resume writing, interviewing techniques and basic career guidance.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are many volunteer opportunities in the Keesler area. Volunteering is a great way to gain experience, share a talent, fill a need, or just give back to the community. The American Red Cross and the Military and Family Readiness Center can provide details on structured volunteer programs.
