To help mitigate our heavily trafficked business hours, we offer the following options to obtain certain ID cards:
- Order a new Retiree/Dependent ID online and have it mailed to you in 30 days; please visit https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco/locator and follow the visuals in the DD Form 1172-2 drop-down
- Please keep in mind that this process takes 30 days to be completed
- This option only works for already established IDs
- Order a new Retiree/Dependent ID and pick it up in 2-3 weeks; please utilize the Kiosks located in the Consolidated Support Building
- Must have all required documentation (2 forms of unexpired ID)
- Must have a signed DD1172, or the sponsor must attend for ID card pick-up
- Please remember that this process takes 2–3 weeks to complete IF all submitted documentation is ready. Member will be contacted if their package is incorrect.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO USE THE IDRENEW KIOSK?:
How does the kiosk work?
Step 1: Have your sponsor certify a DD Form 1172-2 (Located next to the kiosk)
Step 2: Use the Kiosk to submit your application
Step 3: The MPF will send you an email when your ID card is ready for pick-up
NOTE: If you do not pick up your ID card in 30 calendar days, your ID card will automatically terminate, and all items will need to be re-accomplished
You will need two (2) forms of identification
- Both IDs must be approved forms of IDs
- Names on both IDs must match exactly
- Neither ID can be expired or canceled
Less common documents you might need as applicable:
- A lost or stolen memorandum
- Retirement orders if you or the sponsor are retiring
- A letter from the registrar if the dependent is over 21 years old and in school
- DD Form 1375 if dependent is due to medical conditions
- Medicare card if sponsor or spouse is turning 65

Newborn Enrollment
Newborn Enrollment Follow-up
- Please visit the Kirtland AFB ID Card Office during work hours to add your child. When signing in, please click ‘Customer Support’, then ‘Newborn Processing’. Be sure also to have a copy of your “proof of birth” letter.
- E-mail the Customer Support Office (377FSS.FSPS.Workflow@us.af.mil) with the Sponsor’s DoDID, newborn’s gender, and proof of birth letter.
Once you receive the official birth certificate, please email a copy to our workflow or come to our office in person to drop it off.

DD Form 1172-2
1. Access ID Card Office Online https://idco.dmdc.osd.mil/idco/
2. Select “Family ID Cards.”
3. Type in your DS Logon Username and password or CAC Login.
4. Verify all dependents and select “PRINT FAMILY ROSTER.”
5. Select all dependents that require verification (2 dependents per form)
6. Read the Privacy Act, click the “I agree” box, and press “NEXT.”
7. Click “CONFIRM” on the Summary Page.
Dependent ID's
Identification
All customers must have two forms of ID to get a new ID card made. This applies to all customers, including children over ten years of age. Customers 18 years and older must provide at least a state- or government-issued photo ID.
ID Card Renewal
- Bring two current forms of ID issued by state, federal, or local government: SOFA Agreement, SPOT LOA, and DD Form 1172-2 requesting the overseas card.
- Forms must be correctly filled out, or they may be rejected.
- All walk-in customers are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Wait times for walk-ins can vary depending on the number of customers waiting for service.
- Appointments take priority over walk-in customers.
- Appointments are highly recommended to avoid the possible wait.
- You will be seen within minutes of your scheduled time.
- Please keep a copy of your appointment confirmation.
- All customers must have two forms of ID to get a new ID card made.

- Customers who are 18 years and older must provide at least a state or government-issued photo ID.
- If your military sponsor cannot accompany you to your visit, a valid “general” or “special” power of attorney will allow you to conduct business on your sponsor’s behalf.
- You may also provide a signed and verified DD Form 1172.
- You may renew your CAC or dependent ID card 30 days before the card expires.
- Sponsor or spouse with power of attorney, current ID card, and an additional form of ID is required.
Lost/Stolen ID's
Military personnel must have a counseling statement signed by their first sergeant, an SF report (if applicable), and two valid forms of ID.
Civilians and contractors must have two valid forms of ID and an SF report (if applicable).
Dependent Lost/Stolen ID
Dependents must have two valid forms of ID and an SF report (if applicable).
