FCC Providers

You Can Make A Difference!

Far from simple babysitting service, the FCC Program is looking for individuals who wish to be child care professionals. You can operate your own home-based business, set your own hours, be with your children and care for other children at home. The FCC staff will train and help you provide safe and nurturing in-home care for children 2 weeks to 12 years in your home. You must be 18 years of age or older, able to speak English, in good mental and physical health and willing to undergo a comprehensive background check. After you complete a basic orientation program, you can set your own hours and fees and begin to care for children on an hourly, part-day or full-day schedule.

Evening and Weekend Care

Do you have extra hours in the evening or weekend? Become an FCC provider for children in need of care in the evening or weekend.

Unlicensed Child Care

Providing care for a child (other than your own) for more than 10 hours a week and receiving pay is prohibited on Fort MacArthur, Pacific Crest and Pacific Heights. Only licensed FCC providers are authorized to provide child care in government housing. In accordance to AFI 34-276, home child care is considered a private business and requires licensing and inspections from the Family Child Care Program on base. All providers are inspected on a monthly basis, are monitored and trained by the FCC Coordinator and FCC Training and Curriculum Specialist and must re-license annually.
