FCC Providers

You Can Make A Difference!

Grow your childcare business with FCC! We’re looking for individuals who would like to offer childcare to military and DoD Civilian families from ages 2 weeks to 12 years old. As an FCC provider, you will operate your own home-based business, set your own hours and fees, and provide care to a pre- determined number of children. Providers have the choice of offering childcare on an hourly, partial day, or full-day schedule, as well as evening or weekend care.

Call (310) 653-6800 for more information on how to become a Family Child Care provider.

Qualifications:

To become an FCC provider, you must be 18 years of age or older, be able to speak English, in good mental and physical health, and willing to undergo a comprehensive background check.

Getting Started:

Our FCC team will provide you with the building blocks you need to be successful with an orientation program and introductory training. All providers are monitored and trained by the FCC Coordinator and FCC Training & Curriculum and are required to be inspected on a monthly basis and to re-license annually.

Evening and Weekend Care

Do you have extra hours in the evening or weekend? Become an FCC provider for children in need of care in the evening or weekend.

Unlicensed Child Care

Providing care for a child (other than your own) for more than 10 hours a week and receiving pay is prohibited on Fort MacArthur, Pacific Crest and Pacific Heights. Only licensed FCC providers are authorized to provide child care in government housing. In accordance to AFI 34-276, home childcare is considered a private business and requires licensing and inspections from the Family Child Care Program on base.
