Community College of the Air Force
Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) is at an Operational Pause as they transition to the new and improved Student Information System (SIS). Effective 28 Sep 2022, regular CCAF operations will be paused for approximately 3-6 months.
What this means for Airmen: Your local Education & Training Center AND CCAF will be unable to process CCAF Action Requests, provide CCAF online services, process degrees, including issuing diplomas and awarding degrees, updating student records, updating enrollments and credit applications, and evaluating civilian/military courses. This is due to the labor-intensive processes of migrating and verifying data to the new Student Information System (SIS).
Official CCAF transcripts for courses completed prior to 28 September 2022 may be requested here.
If you would like to speak with an Education Specialist regarding your CCAF, please E-mail or call the Education & Training Center to schedule an appointment. Airmen may also reach out to the CCAF Student Advocate Office by calling or E-mailing.
Thank you for your patience with this transition.

Finding and Submitting TA
Getting Started
Step-by-Step guide to finding a school & submitting TA
- Begin searching online for the college of your choice. You can use Search School Programs & Search Schools under AFVEC or by checking out some of the resources below. (Note: First-time students MUST attend first course with an approved overseas program school in order to use MilTA!) College Navigator
https://www.dodmou.com/TADECIDE/ - Start by visiting, calling, or checking the website of the college of your choice to research the program you are interested in and to complete the ADMISSIONS process with the school.
- Send TRANSCRIPTS from all the schools you have previously attended. You will need to contact the individual schools about sending official transcripts directly to the new school. If you are in the Air Force, you do have credits from CCAF; you must order a CCAF transcript from the AFVEC Website through the Air Force Portal.AFVEC from a .mil computer. Under “CCAF Student Services,” click on “Transcripts” from menu at the top of the page, and select “Order a Transcript.”
- Go to Credentials Inc. Send a written request that includes your full name or former name if appropriate, social security number, and the address of the location you want the free transcript to be sent. Your physical signature is required for release of a transcript.
