Osan AB: The Walking Base of Choice!
Osan AB’s compact size makes navigation easy. Most functions are within walking distance of Military Family Housing (MFH) towers and the East & West Dormitory Campuses. A convenient and free shuttle service, plus ample access to taxis, makes travel both around and off-base a breeze.
The Community Support Area of base includes a variety of restaurants, clubs, a library, USO, Base Exchange, movie theater, and Chapel. A short walk north on Songtan Blvd takes members past the Medical Clinic, MFH Towers, the Commissary, then DoDEA schools before exiting the Main Gate into the Songtan Entertainment District (SED) and Pyeongtaek International Market. Moving west along Broadway Blvd from the center of base takes you past the MiG Alley Bowling Center and Fitness Center to the West Dorm Campus, Lakes at Osan Golf Course, and the flightline.

Parking: The Great Disaster
Osan is notorious for its lack of available and convenient parking. It’s highly recommended to walk, bike, or use the free LRS shuttle to get around, especially if traveling to the customer service areas of base.
Due to the lack of parking in the center of base, the area around the BX is considered a Restricted Parking Area. Non-Command Sponsored/Unaccompanied E-6 and below and all secondary vehicles are not authorized to park in Restricted Parking Areas from 6:00 AM Monday to 6:00 PM Friday.
