The Nonappropriated (NAF) Human Resources Office is responsible for all facets of US NAF personnel management for the 422d Air Base Squadron. The NAF HR team and squadron leadership work together to recruit, retain, and develop a highly competent, diverse workforce that upholds the mission, vision, and values of the 422d Air Base Squadron in support of the 501st Combat Support Wing.

NAF employment is federal employment. However, it is different from the federal service. Nonappropriated funds are self-generated by Services Morale, Welfare, and Recreation activities. Appropriated Fund/Civil Service positions are paid with monies appropriated by Congress.
