Career Assistance Advisors are principle advisors to commanders and supervisors on enlisted force management and professional enhancement. CAAs advise Airmen on career progression and planning, monitor mandatory pay and benefits briefing programs, and conduct advertising and publicity programs. CAAs also manage the First Term Airmen Center (FTAC).

FTAC provides a structured program to transition Airmen from a training mindset to a mission-oriented environment. FTAC provides orientation type information and reinforces lessons learned in training to aid in successful transition. This provides a unique opportunity to create an environment for Airmen to further develop their warrior ethos and continued expeditionary mindset.
