Last week, the 10th Force Support Squadron provided food to numerous participants who attended the National Character and Leadership Symposium (NCLS). The meals were prepared by the Falcon Club and the High Country Inn.
Nearly 70,000 people attend NCLS annually.
NCLS attendees consist of cadets, cadet candidates, USAFA staff and faculty, DoD ID card holders and other members of the community. NCLS is open to the public.
NCLS takes place every year at the Academy in late February. According to the USAFA website, NCLS is a symposium in which participants have an opportunity to hear from speakers sharing inspirational stories of character and leadership.
It is one of the premier national symposiums in the area of character development, bringing together distinguished scholars, military leaders, corporate executives and world-class athletes to explore various dimensions of character and leadership.
Speakers for this year included Olympic athlete Missy Franklin Johnson, United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby, NASA astronaut Dr. Kjell Lindgrenand and Miss America and USAFA graduate 2nd Lt. Madison March.
NCLS speakers can be watched online via the USAFA YouTube page.
