Wright-Patterson Child Development Centers (CDC) provide safe, healthy environments for children ages 6-weeks through 5-years. Between its four different facilities, the CDCs provide childcare on Area A, Area B, and in the Prairies. The CDCs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and certified by the Department of Defense and the Department of the Air Force. Children of active duty military and DOD civilians are eligible for childcare at the CDCs.
Care Services
Applying for Child Care
Child care services are available to active duty military members and DOD civilians whose children are between 6-weeks through 5-years of age. The CDCs offer:
- Full-time Care
- Weekly Care
- Before-and-After-School Care
- Hourly Care
For information about enrollment, visit MilitaryChildCare.com.
Hourly Care
Hourly Care meets the needs of customers requiring childcare on an irregular basis and is offered at one of our four CDCs. Children ages 6 months through 5 years may receive care on a space-available basis.
Requirements regarding eligibility, registration and immunizations are the same as those required for full-time care.
Parent Advisory Board
The CDCs are committed to improvement and welcome parental feedback. The Parent Advisory Board and Parent Advisory Committee provide recommendations for improving CDC and CYP services. They act solely in an advisory capacity. For information about becoming involved, please contact your CDC director.
