Recreation Area For Non-Motorized Vessels/wade Fishing
**NOTICE**
Personnel are only authorized to paddle board, kayak, canoe and wade fish in the designated recreation area adjacent to the Marina. Entering the water everywhere else on MacDill is a violation, and will be subject to citations and/or fines. Fishing from the MacdDill AFB shoreline piers/rocks is authorized.

Before You Rent
Before You Can Rent a Boat:
If you’ve never completed a boater safety course before:
- Visit Boatus.org (4-6 hour course)
- Print Certificate or email it to macdillmarina@gmail.com (Please call to verify receipt)
Boater Safety Course
We offer a hands on boater safety course the 3rd Friday of every month from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Cost is $15 per person and is highly recommended for new boaters. Call the marina to sign up today.

Required Documents
To rent a boat at the Marina you must:
- Take the Boat US Foundation Safety Course
- Provide a copy of the safety course cert and your ID
- Must be 18 years or older to rent a boat

Florida Fishing Licenses
Florida residents who fish for saltwater species from shore, or from a structure affixed to a shore, MUST HAVE A SHORELINE FISHING LICENSE or a REGULAR SALTWATER LICENSE. Non-residents need a regular Non-resident saltwater fishing license to fish from shore or from a vessel.
