Outdoor Recreation Facility Overview

Want to go camping but need a tent? Need extra tables and chairs for that next party? Look no further than Outdoor Recreation. Located in Building 3176 on East Drive, the facility offers a wide variety of recreational equipment that may be rented for a nominal fee. Complete camping gear, camping trailers, canoes, and sports equipment are available to rent. For organizational picnics, sports equipment like volleyball sets, horseshoes and softball sets may be rented.

If you enjoy fishing, stop by and get your on-base permit. Outdoor Recreation also manages Scott Lake, base picnic pavilions, and the swimming pool. In addition, Outdoor Recreation also accepts reservations for FamCamp and Tent Camping located near Scott Lake. The facility also manages the on-base RV/boat storage area and operates the vehicle resale lot which is located on South Drive.

The following individuals, as per AFI 34-101, are authorized to use any trips, events, or programs managed by Scott AFB Outdoor Recreation:

MUST be at least 18 years of age and have a valid DoD ID card in their possession

1. Active Duty/Reserve/Guard Members and their Family Members (including Coast Guard)
2. Retired Military Members
3. 100% Disabled Veterans
4. DoD Civilian Employees
5. Eligible Veterans Patrons with a Valid VHIC Card
